Established in 1949, Wetton is a family run UK-based facilities management company employing over 1,400 people nationwide.
Wetton's project scheduling tool of choice was integrated with Fit for Work training data, to create a custom dashboard for clients
Wetton and their clients have access to real-time tracking of training and competence of the entire workforce across the UK
Staff could complete safety-critical training anytime, anywhere, through a fully remote, paperless system with automated training reminders
Wetton was looking for a digital method of accurately capturing staff training records to demonstrate to their clients that, in a dynamic and hazardous work environment, the staff on site were competent and working safely.
Providing complete transparency on competency was key to building client relationships. Not only did training modules need to be delivered via mobile, but training records also needed to be available to the clients in real-time.
The Fit for Work app was configured to deliver 20+ bitesize training modules to workers on-to-move. This included automated reminders when training was due, the ability to test each worker to check their understanding of critical safety measures as well as automated alerts to flag any failed training submissions to management.
Each worker could be ID verified and every aspect was designed and optimised for mobile handsets and tablets. At a management or client level, this digital training data was presented on custom dashboards and integrated with other key operational systems like iAuditor.
For the first time, Wetton have a digital, company-wide system tracking training and competency. Due to the real-time nature of the data, site managers can demonstrate to clients with complete confidence and transparency leading to improved client reputation and business growth.
The integration with iAuditor has resulted in the Fit for Work dashboard being a single source of truth for all health and safety data that the company requires to operate. A mobile training solution has significantly reduced travel to training centres to carry out paper-based training which has reduced their CO2 footprint considerably.
Design Rationale- a specialist architectural metalwork and glazing contractor - needed to put additional safety measures in place to protect their staff and to reassure the main contractor that project work was safe to continue.
The company looked for new technologies that could support a safe return to work, including temperature checking devices, thermal imaging cameras and supporting mobile software.
